Project Odyssey is an effort to recreate the Halo Combat Evolved soundtrack in lossless, stemified format, to provide an accessible, high fidelity collection of Halo music for modders to remix and create new variations for their future Halo Custom Edition and Halo PC projects, as well as recreating tracks from other Halo games and introducing original new material with a consistent CE-era instrumentation, and a sound faithful to the spirit of the original Halo soundtrack.
This album contains a collection of renders of the current state of Odyssey as of December 1st, 2020. Most tracks contain their original name, followed by an alternate name for the Odyssey variation, tracks labelled "Mix" or "Sketch" are alternate and compositionally unfinished tracks, respectively.
Tracks with insignificant progress have been excluded from this collection, but will likely be in the next one.
All content is recreated with authentic hardware and software based on community research of the tools and gear used in the production of the original Halo soundtrack.
This album is NOT for sale, financial transaction and is only a collection of work intended specifically for use with custom content for Halo: Combat Evolved.
Any direct rearrangements/restorations/recreations of the music from Halo should first and foremost be technically considered covers of O'Donnell and Salvatori's work, and it is not my intention to infringe on, plagiarize or profit from their work.
